Browns' Jack Conklin: IR-bound for rest of year
Cleveland placed Conklin (knee) on its injured reserve list Tuesday, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
As expected, Conklin will spend the remainder of the 2023 season on the injured reserve list after sustaining a ruptured ACL on Sunday. His absence represents a major loss for Cleveland's offense, who will now likely have to rely on fourth-round rookie Dawand Jones to start at right tackle for the foreseeable future.

Browns' Jack Conklin: Season could be over
Conklin's initial testing, as well as his prognosis for the remainder of the 2023 season, regarding the knee injury he suffered Sunday against the Bengals "aren't good," according to head coach Kevin Stefanski, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Conklin's injury specifics weren't shared by Stefanski, but the veteran tackle was carted off the field in the first half and quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game. The 29-year-old's absence led to rookie fourth-round selection Dawand Jones taking over at right tackle, and he'll likely man the position for as long as Conklin is out.

Conklin sustained a knee injury during the first half and was quickly ruled out after being carted off the field. The 29-year-old was an All-Pro in 2020 and has been the Browns' starting right tackle for the last three seasons, so his absence could be a significant factor in both the rushing game and pass protection for quarterback Deshaun Watson. With Conklin out, rookie fourth-round pick Dawand Jones has stepped in at right tackle.

Conklin (concussion) will practice Sunday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Conklin will now return to practice just five days after initially entering the concussion protocol. The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries over the past few years and hasn't played a full season since 2019 but will look to break that trend during the upcoming campaign.
