The Texans placed Green (shoulder) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Green suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's preseason game against the Saints and will now miss the entire 2023 campaign. The 22-year-old will undergo shoulder surgery and focus on recovering ahead of the 2024 season.

Green's status for Week 1 against Baltimore is now in question after picking up an injury in Houston's final preseason game. He'll be considered questionable leading up to the 2023 opener.

Texans' Kenyon Green: Working with first team
Green (knee) practiced with the Texans' first-team offensive line Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Green underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his knee following the 2022 season but is ready for the start of training camp. Green started 14 of the 15 games he played in during his rookie campaign, but he allowed 47 quarterback pressures and committed 12 penalties. Now that he's back in action, last year's 15th overall pick is in line to reclaim his role as the Texans' starting left guard.

Texans' Kenyon Green: Status for training camp TBD
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Wednesday that Green's (knee) status for training camp remains to be determined following the offensive lineman's offseason knee surgery, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Green underwent an arthroscopic procedure following the 2022 campaign, but he was expected to make a full recovery in advance of the team's offseason program. However, the 2022 first-round pick remains in the midst of the rehab process during mandatory minicamp and could remain sidelined to start training camp. When healthy, Green is expected to be the Texans' starting left guard in 2023.

Texans' Kenyon Green: Undergoes offseason procedure
Green underwent arthroscopic knee surgery after the season ended, Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com reports.
Green is expected to make a full recovery and participate in all of the team's offseason programs. The 2022 first-round selection appeared in 15 contests last season, starting 14 games, and is expected to be the Texans' starting left guard in 2023.
