Lewis didn't record a tackle but was a needed force in the pass rush with Kwity Paye out with a concussion. He played on a season-high 53 percent of the defense's snap.

Colts' Tyquan Lewis: Returns to practice
Lewis (knee) was activated from the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Lewis suffered a ruptured patellar tendon Week 8 last season, which the 28-year-old was still recovering from. Selected in the second round of the 2018 Draft, Lewis' career has been hindered by injuries, and he's only appeared in more than nine games once in his five-year career. He'll work to stay healthy this season after securing a one-year contract with the team in March.

Colts' Tyquan Lewis: Headed for PUP List
Lewis (knee) will begin training camp on the active/PUP list, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
While Lewis isn't ready to practice, GM Chris Ballard said at his press conference that the defensive end was close to returning. Lewis played in seven games and started four last season before rupturing his patellar tendon Week 8. The 2018 second-rounder re-signed with Indianapolis in March and should play a depth role again this coming season.

Lewis is still recovering from the torn patellar tendon he sustained in October and has yet to make his return to practice. The 28-year-old re-signed with the Colts this offseason, and once healthy, he'll compete with Samson Ebukam and Khalid Kareem, amongst others, for a reserve role on the defensive line.

Colts' Tyquan Lewis: Lands another deal with Indy
The Colts signed Lewis (knee) to a one-year, $2.1 million contract Sunday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Lewis will stick with the Colts for a sixth season heading into his age-28 campaign in 2023. The 277-pound defensive end previously re-signed with Indianapolis on a one-year, $3 million deal heading into this past season. However, he sustained a season-ending torn patellar tendon in his left knee during Week 8, limiting him to just 14 tackles, one sack and two passes defended over seven appearances. This also marked the second year in a row that Lewis suffered a season-ending knee injury, but he's been a regular rotational player on the Colts' defensive front when healthy.

Per Coach Frank Reich, Lewis suffered a season-ending patellar tendon tear during Sunday's 17-16 loss versus Washington, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
