Smith sustained a knee injury on the first drive of the game and did not return. Blake Freeland has taken over at right tackle with Smith out for the rest of Sunday's contest.

Smith (hip) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Smith has missed each of the Colts' past four games while dealing with a hip injury. He hadn't practiced at all since Week 6 prep before participating in full Wednesday. Given his ability to begin the week without limitations, Smith has an excellent chance of returning to the field Sunday against New England.

Smith (knee) was a full participant at practice Thursday ahead of Sunday's game at Houston.
After starting and finishing the game at right tackle in Week 1, it looks like Smith will be ready to go for Week 2. He'll have his hands full lined up against Will Anderson, who looked impressive in his NFL debut Sunday.

Colts' Braden Smith: Dealing with injury
Smith is recovering from a knee injury suffered in training camp, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
It's unclear when Smith suffered the injury, but it would seem likely he will not be practicing Thursday. The team's starter at right tackle shouldn't be out too long according to head coach Shane Steichen, which is naturally good news for the Colts' offensive line.
