Patriots' Demario Douglas: Ruled out again
Douglas (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh.
Douglas hasn't returned to practice since being concussed Week 12 and now officially will be out for a second straight game. DeVante Parker saw a team-high nine targets in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers, and he'll be the favorite to serve as New England's de facto No. 1 wideout again, assuming he's able to play through the minor knee injury that has him listed as questionable. JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) -- also listed as questionable -- was a near-every-down presence for the Patriots this past Sunday, and should benefit from a full-time role Thursday. Beyond those two, Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor are the best bets to fill snaps at receiver for New England.

Patriots' Demario Douglas: Still sidelined at practice
Douglas (concussion) wasn't practicing Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Douglas has yet to mix into drills since suffering a concussion during a Week 12 loss at the Giants, giving him very little leeway to put himself in a position to play Thursday in Pittsburgh. It remains to be seen how much of the rest of the team's receiving corps will be available considering DeVante Parker (knee), JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) all are tending to health concerns as well.

Douglas (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate.
Douglas hasn't resumed practicing since entering the NFL's five-step concussion protocol after a 10-7 Week 12 loss to the Giants. With Thursday's game against the Steelers fast approaching, Douglas is running out of time to clear the protocol. DeVante Parker (knee), Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) led New England's receiving corps with Douglas sidelined in this past Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers.

Douglas (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Douglas didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, either, so the 2023 sixth-rounder could be ruled out for Week 13 action later Friday. If that ends up being the case, DeVante Parker, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton would be in line to work as the Patriots' top WRs versus the Chargers on Sunday.

Douglas (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Douglas, who was forced out of the team's Week 12 loss to the Giants due to a concussion, didn't practice this week, and now that he's been deemed unavailable versus L.A., he'll target a potential return to action next Thursday against the Steelers. In Douglas' absence, DeVante Parker, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton are slated to lead New England's wide receiver corps Sunday.
