The Saints placed Roach (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Roach potentially needs knee surgery and will miss at least the next four games before being eligible to return for Week 18. While playing a rotational role along New Orleans' defensive line this season, Roach has recorded 38 tackles (13 solo) and three pass breakups over 12 games.
