Peat suffered a concussion in Week 4 and still hasn't finished progressing through the league's five steps for clearance to return to play. His next opportunity to suit up will be Week 6 against the Texans.

Peat has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers due to a concussion, Erin Summers of ESPN reports.
Peat was starting at left guard with Cesar Ruiz (concussion) inactive. With Peat and Ruiz unavailable now, James Hurst has flipped to left guard, while Max Garcia has replaced Hurst at right guard.

Peat participated in 11-on-11 drills Tuesday after missing time with a quadriceps injury, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Peat has been out of action since July 31 when he suffered a quadriceps injury during practice. He started 11 games at left guard last season and should reclaim that role now that he has returned.

Peat's injury was not supposed to be serious, but he's been hampered by it since July 31. He'll continue to work to get healthy and should maintain his role as the team's starter at left guard once he is.

Peat suffered a strained quad during New Orleans' practice Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Peat had to leave the padded practice but is not expected to miss considerable time. The ninth-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler started all 11 games he played in last season. The left guard is supposed to start at that spot again in 2023.

Saints' Andrus Peat: Injured during practice
Peat suffered a quadriceps injury during practice Monday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Peat did have to leave practice early, although the severity of the injury is still not known. The former Pro Bowler is expected to remain the team's starter at left guard, so any extended absence would certainly be a blow to the team's offensive line.

Saints' Andrus Peat: Back working with starters
Peat (ankle) was spotted working with the starting offensive line at the Saints' minicamp practice Tuesday, Sean Fazende of Fox 8 New Orleans reports.
Peat missed the final two games of the 2022 NFL season with an ankle injury suffered Week 16, but he has since moved past the issue. The three-time Pro Bowler has started 90 games over the past eight years and should provide a major boost to the Saints' ground game in 2023 if he's able to enjoy improved health compared to a year ago.
