He's added 17 PIM, 23 hits and 19 blocked shots to supply some of his usual physicality.

Benn scored a goal, dished a power-play assist and added two PIM in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Lightning. Benn tallied the Stars' third goal and later helped out on Jason Robertson's second marker of the game. After racking up nine points over 14 contests in November, Benn is off to a solid start in December. The 34-year-old winger has returned solid value with five goals, 12 helpers, 35 shots on net, 19 hits, 18 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 22 contests. His well-rounded play and ice time in all situations helps to offset his third-line even-strength role.

Benn notched two assists and two shots on goal in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Wild. Prior to Sunday, Benn was stuck in a four-game point drought. • Stars' Jamie Benn: Two-point effort in win

Benn scored a shorthanded goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Flames. The veteran forward got Dallas on the board in the final minute of the first period on a great hustle play by Roope Hintz, who beat everyone to the puck after the Stars had cleared it the length of the ice and found Benn wide open in front of Jacob Markstrom. Benn has three multi-point performances in the last five games, and on the season the 34-year-old is showing he still has plenty left in the tank, scoring three goals and eight points in eight contests. Notably, none of that production has come with the man advantage after Benn racked up 13 goals and 30 points on the power play in 2022-23.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Supplies two assists

Benn provided a pair of assists in Monday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets. Benn's line with Wyatt Johnston and Evgenii Dadonov combined on the Stars' last two goals to help the team pull away with the win. This was Benn's second multi-point effort of the season. The 34-year-old is at two goals, four helpers, a plus-1 rating, 12 shots on net, five hits and five blocked shots through seven contests. He's a fixture in the middle-six, and while he may not flirt with a point-per-game pace all season, it appears he can still be useful in fantasy.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Earns helper in win

Benn recorded an assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Penguins. He set up Wyatt Johnston's insurance tally in the third period Tuesday. Benn has added nine shots on net, five blocked shots, three hits, five PIM and a plus-1 rating while playing in a middle-six role to begin the season.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Two points at even strength

Benn lit the lamp and earned an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Flyers. Benn has yet to convert on the man advantage, but he banked 30 points in that key scenario last season, and it's the overall power-play units from Dallas that need a jump start. There's plenty of time to turn things around, but the Stars rank 22nd in the league with a 14.3 power-play percentage on the young season, and their percentage of high-danger chances (5.3) is significantly lower than the league average of 8.1. These team trends should be taken into account as you make lineup decisions involving Benn, who has been the Stars' captain since 2013.

He would also record a hit and a plus-1 rating in his 17:04 of ice time. Coming off a bounce-back season last year where he recorded 33 goals and 78 points in 82 games, the captain is expected to play a major role within the Stars' top-nine forward core and first power-play unit this year.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Finishes serving suspension

Benn is eligible to play in Game 6 against the Golden Knights on Monday after completing his two-game suspension for cross-checking Vegas' Mark Stone on Tuesday. Dallas won two consecutive contests without Benn in the lineup. He has racked up eight assists, 11 points, 36 shots on net, 30 hits and 51 PIM in 16 games this postseason. Benn's return could make Fredrik Olofsson a healthy scratch for Monday's must-win matchup.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Gets two-game suspension

Benn was suspended for two games by the NHL on Wednesday for cross-checking Mark Stone during Tuesday's 4-0 loss to Vegas in Game 3. Benn's actions also led to him receiving a major penalty and a game misconduct early in the first period of the contest. This suspension will keep him out of the Stars' lineup for Game 4 on Thursday. Dallas is already down 3-0 in the series, and if Vegas is able to complete the sweep, then Benn will be ineligible to play in his team's 2023-24 regular-season opener. If Dallas wins Thursday's contest, then Benn will serve the second half of his suspension during Game 5 on Saturday. The 33-year-old forward has three goals and 11 points in 16 playoff outings this year.

Benn received a major penalty and a game misconduct after cross-checking Stone, who was already down on the ice. Although Stone avoided injury, it wouldn't be surprising if Benn was suspended for his actions. The Stars forward has three goals and 11 points in 16 playoff outings this year. With Dallas down 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals, Game 4 is set to be played Thursday.

Benn received a major penalty for cross-checking and a game misconduct in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3. Benn cross-checked Mark Stone when the Vegas captain was already down on the ice. Even with Stone avoiding an injury, Benn was ejected from the contest and may be subject to supplemental discipline for the dirty play. The 33-year-old has 11 points and 51 PIM through 16 playoff contests, and if he's suspended for Thursday's Game 4 or longer, he wouldn't be able to help the Stars as they try to avoid getting swept.

Through 14 playoff outings this year, he has three goals and 11 points. Benn was held off the scoresheet for each of his previous two contests, but that came after he enjoyed a five-game point streak from May 2-11.
