Player Outlook
It might be time to consider Conklin a low-end starter in all leagues. His first season with the Jets featured 58 catches for 552 yards and three touchdowns on 87 targets, looking a lot like his final season in Minnesota when he had 61 catches for 593 yards and three touchdowns on 87 targets. That gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect in 2023, but the biggest difference is the addition of Aaron Rodgers in New York, and hopefully the quarterback upgrade can take Conklin to new heights. Now, the Jets do have a crowded receiving corps with Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, Corey Davis, Mecole Hardman and Randall Cobb, and Conklin also has to compete with fellow tight end C.J. Uzomah for targets. But Conklin is worth drafting as a low-end starter in deeper leagues with a late-round pick and is definitely someone to consider in tight-end premium formats.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Another limited session

Conklin (hamstring) remained limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Following back-to-back capped sessions to start the week, Conklin may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. In the Jets' 13-8 loss to the Falcons in Week 13, Conklin logged a team-high nine targets but hauled in only three of them for 35 yards.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Week 14 Streamers (TE Preview)

I would move Conklin to the top priority if Zach Wilson is announced as the Week 14 starter. It's an outstanding matchup and Conklin has shown low-end starter potential with Wilson in the past.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Zach Wilson is back under center for the Jets, and that should help Conklin this week in a great matchup against the Texans. Houston is No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and Conklin just had nine targets in Week 13 against Atlanta. He has five games this season with at least six targets, and Conklin has scored at least 10 PPR points in four of them, so hopefully he gets a lot of volume this week from Wilson against Houston.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Limited due to hamstring Wednesday

Conklin was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Soft-tissue injuries can be tricky to navigate, but it's encouraging that Conklin was able to practice in some capacity Wednesday. If Conklin can upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday, he could avoid taking a designation into Sunday's home game against the Texans. With C.J. Uzomah (knee) going on injured reserve Wednesday, the Jets' depth chart at tight end behind Conklin consists of Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah (hamstring), the latter of whom was reinstated from IR in a corresponding move.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Week 14 Waiver Priority List

We'll see who starts at quarterback for the Jets in Week 14, but Conklin is worth adding as a streaming tight end against the Texans in a great matchup. Houston is No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and Conklin just had nine targets in Week 13 against Atlanta. He has five games this season with at least six targets, and Conklin has scored at least 10 PPR points in four of them, so hopefully he gets a lot of volume this week against the Texans. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your FAB.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Does little with nine targets

Conklin caught three of nine targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 13-8 loss to the Falcons. Conklin actually led the Jets in targets, but he finished third in receiving yards behind Xavier Gipson (77) and Garrett Wilson (50). Regardless of whether Tim Boyle, Trevor Siemian or Zach Wilson starts in Week 14 against the Texans, New York's quarterback will likely have to check it down to Conklin often given the offensive line's inability to buy time and the team's lack of receiving depth.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Four catches in Week 12 loss

Conklin caught four of five targets for 33 yards in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins. Conklin finished second behind Garrett Wilson (44) in receiving yards and third behind Wilson (10) and Breece Hall (nine) in targets, as the Jets' offense looked no better in Tim Boyle's first start of 2023 under center. Wide receiver Allen Lazard was a healthy inactive after his recent issues with drops, so Conklin is the clear No. 3 option behind Wilson and Hall in New York's struggling offense heading into a Week 13 home game against the Falcons.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: TEs to Sit

Conklin flopped in Week 11 at Buffalo with two catches for 18 yards, and he'll be tough to trust in Week 12 against Miami with Tim Boyle under center. Prior to Week 11, Conklin had scored at least 12.6 PPR points in two games in a row against the Raiders and Chargers, but he's yet to score a touchdown this season. Jeremy Ruckert is starting to get more action at tight end for the Jets, and Conklin's target share could start to decrease moving forward.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Just two catches in blowout loss

Conklin caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills. Conklin was outproduced by fellow tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who caught three of four targets for 25 yards. New York's coaching staff wants to get the 23-year-old Ruckert more involved, which could cut into the 28-year-old Conklin's volume the rest of the season. Conklin finished with fewer than three receptions for just the third time in 10 games this season. Regardless of whether the Jets name Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle as their starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Dolphins, Conklin should serve as a security blanket on Black Friday.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Sleeper TEs

Conklin heads into Week 11 at Buffalo on a hot streak with at least 12.6 PPR points in each of his past two outings against the Chargers and Raiders. He has 13 catches for 136 yards on 13 targets over that span, and Zach Wilson is looking for Conklin as a reliable option behind Garrett Wilson. Conklin only had one catch for 2 yards on one target against Buffalo in Week 1, but five tight ends in the past five games have scored at least 8.5 PPR points against the Bills. Consider Conklin a low-end starter in deeper leagues in Week 11.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Season-best output in Week 10 loss

Conklin caught all seven of his targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 16-12 loss to Vegas. Conklin set season highs in catches and receiving yards for the second consecutive week, topping his six catches for 66 yards from Week 9 against the Chargers. The tight end has emerged as the third-best player in the Jets' struggling offense behind wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall, but Conklin's still searching for his first touchdown of the season heading into a Week 11 road matchup with the Bills.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Catches all six targets Monday

Conklin caught all six of his targets for 66 yards in Monday's 27-6 loss to the Chargers. Conklin bounced back nicely after going without a catch in the previous game. In addition to setting a season high in catches and coming one yard short of his season best, Conklin drew a 14-yard pass interference penalty on third down to extend a third-quarter drive. The tight end was tackled on the 2-yard line on the Jets' final offensive play, narrowly missing his first touchdown of 2023. Heading into a Week 10 road game against the Raiders, Conklin has notched at least three catches in all but two games this season.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Blanked in Week 8 win

Conklin didn't catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants. Conklin had at least three catches in each of the previous five games, but he didn't account for any of Zach Wilson's 17 completions in the overtime victory. His two targets matched the combined total of C.J. Uzomah and Jeremy Ruckert, so Conklin remains the top pass catching option among the Jets' tight ends heading into a Week 9 home game against the Chargers on MNF.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Contrarian DFS Play

Conklin has at least five targets in four of his last five games, he's facing a mediocre Giants defense, and he's under $5,000 on FanDuel. There will be far more popular punts, but I'm not sure any are more likely to score a touchdown this week.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Three catches in Week 6

Conklin caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 20-14 win over the Eagles. Conklin wasn't a major part of the game plan as Zach Wilson threw for just 186 yards, but New York won the turnover battle 4-0 to pull off the upset win. Heading into the Jets' Week 7 bye, Conklin has caught at least three passes in all but one game, but he's still looking his first touchdown of the season.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Week 6 Streamers (TE Preview)

The Eagles gave up a ton of points to tight ends early in the year, but they have been better lately. Conklin has seen five or more targets in four straight games and he's reached double digits in Fantasy points in three of those games. He's a fine bye week replacement and I'd start him over David Njoku as well.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

Conklin is unlikely to blow you away with his production, but he has scored at least 9.8 PPR points in three of his past four games. He's yet to score a touchdown, but he has three games this year with at least four catches and 50 receiving yards. In deeper leagues, Conklin can be a low-end starter in Week 6 against the Eagles, and he's worth adding for 1 percent of your FAB.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Leading receiver in win

Conklin had four receptions on five targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Broncos. Conklin finished first in receiving yardage for the Jets in a game where neither team reached 200 passing yards. The veteran tight end has quietly contributed 50 or more yards in three of his last four contests. Conklin has yet to hit pay dirt this season, something he will attempt to correct against the Eagles next Sunday.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Sleeper TEs

The Broncos made Cole Kmet look like a superstar in Week 4 with seven catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets, and that's now two tight ends with at least 10.2 PPR points against the Broncos this year after Logan Thomas hit that number against Denver in Week 2. Conklin has scored at least 9.8 PPR points in two of his past three games, and he has 17 targets in his past three outings. Given the matchup and his recent level of production, Conklin is worth using as a low-end starter in deeper leagues as a quality bye-week replacement.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Week 5 Streamers (TE Preview)

Conklin has 17 targets over the last three weeks, Zach Wilson is looking better and the Denver Broncos have arguably the worst defense in the NFL. That's not quite enough to make Conklin a top-12 tight end, but it does make him a good bye-week replacement and a start over Tyler Higbee if Cooper Kupp is back.
