  • Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Limited in return to practice

Rodgers (Achilles) was a limited practice participant Thursday.

Rodgers was held out of Wednesday's session seemingly as part of a pre-planned maintenance program for his surgically repaired Achilles, but as expected, he was back on the field Thursday, albeit with a cap on his reps. Since having his 21-day evaluation window opened Nov. 29, Rodgers has managed three limited practices over five total sessions. Rodgers has previously stated that he's aiming to return for a Week 16 game against the Commanders on Dec. 24, but the odds of the 40-year-old quarterback playing again this season appear to be dwindling while the 4-8 Jets have started to fade from the AFC playoff picture. Another loss Sunday to the Texans or in Week 15 against the Dolphins could prompt Rodgers to close the door on a return to game action this season, though Ian Rapoport of NFL Network recently reported that Rodgers could be added to the 53-man roster when his evaluation window closes and continue to take part in practices while serving as an emergency No. 3 quarterback over the Jets' final three games.

  • Jets' Tyler Conklin: Another limited session

Conklin (hamstring) remained limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Following back-to-back capped sessions to start the week, Conklin may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. In the Jets' 13-8 loss to the Falcons in Week 13, Conklin logged a team-high nine targets but hauled in only three of them for 35 yards.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Expects to play this weekend

Hall (ankle) said Thursday that he expects to play Sunday against the Texans, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Hall didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but the running back's comments suggest that he could practice in some capacity Friday to put to rest some of the concern about his status heading into the weekend. However, unless Hall practices in a full capacity Friday, he may still carry a questionable designation into the weekend for the Jets' second straight game.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Still not practicing

Hall (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Per Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Hall -- who didn't practice Wednesday -- was spotted on a side field Thursday, so what the running back is able to do during Friday's session could be telling with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Texans. If Hall is limited or out this weekend, Dalvin Cook would be on track to headline the Jets backfield.
