  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Playing time takes hit Week 13

Crowder went without a target while playing five of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

Crowder had logged double-digit snaps in four of the Commanders' previous five games while producing a 13-130-1 receiving line on 16 targets, but he dropped to sixth in the pecking order at receiver Sunday with all of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel, Byron Pringle and Dyami Brown seeing more playing time. Though the Commanders could look to work Crowder in more at the expense of either Pringle or Brown coming out of their Week 14 bye, McLaurin, Dotson and Samuel are locked in as Washington's clear top three wideouts when healthy.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Minimal role in loss

Brown didn't gain any yardage on his lone reception while playing 11 of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

Brown hasn't been able to build on the 35-yard game-tying reception touchdown reception he provided in an eventual 29-26 loss to Seattle in Week 10. In the Commanders' ensuing three contests, Brown has hovered between snap shares of 20 and 25 percent while compiling a 2-7-0 receiving line on five targets. With Washington's receiving corps at full strength at the moment, Brown is unlikely to see his role increase coming out of the team's Week 14 bye.

  • Commanders' Cole Turner: Distant third on TE depth chart

Turner played seven of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense and hauled in his lone target for a two-yard reception in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

While the second-year player profiles as a strong pass catcher and has run routes on 60.3 percent of his offensive snaps this season, he's not seeing enough playing time behind fellow tight ends Logan Thomas and John Bates to make much of a splash in the box score. Through his 11 appearances this season, Turner has yet to find the end zone and has recorded more than one reception on just two occasions.

  • Commanders' John Bates: Pass-catching role trending down

Bates failed to corral his lone target while playing 25 of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

Bates has now been held without a reception over Washington's past two contests, after having previously produced a 7-48-0 receiving line on nine targets over the preceding five games. The third-year player continues to see snap shares over 40 percent most weeks, but he looks as though he'll function mainly as a blocker on the field while Logan Thomas operates as Washington's top pass-catching tight end.

  • Commanders' Jacoby Brissett: Makes team debut

Brissett recorded no statistics while playing three of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

Brissett had been active for each of Washington's first 12 games, but with starting quarterback Sam Howell playing 100 percent of the snaps in those contests, the former didn't get the chance to make his team debut. With Sunday's game devolving into a blowout by the second half, however, Brissett finally took the field for the Commanders' final possession. Though turnovers (14 interceptions, two lost fumbles) and taking sacks (58) have been an issue for Howell through his first 13 starts, head coach Ron Rivera has made no indication that the Commanders plan to make a quarterback change coming out of their Week 14 bye. As a result, Brissett looks poised to remain in a backup role as the season winds down, barring an injury to Howell.

  • Commanders' Quan Martin: Sets career-high tackle total

Martin recorded seven tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 45-15 loss versus the Dolphins.

In his second game playing more than 20 defensive snaps (29), Martin also collected more than four total tackles for the first time in Week 13. As the Commanders fall further away from playoff contention, it would make sense for them to continue to give more playing time to their second-round rookie after their bye in Week 14.

  • Commanders' Jamin Davis: Has another good showing Sunday

Davis recorded eight tackles (five solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 45-15 loss versus the Dolphins.

Davis managed to tally seven-plus total tackles for the sixth time in his last eight games in Week 13. He's on pace for a career season in that category, making him a viable IDP option for Week 15 after the Commanders' bye in Week 14.

  • Commanders' Cody Barton: Leading tackler vs. Dolphins

Barton recorded 11 tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 45-15 loss versus the Dolphins.

Barton posted double-digit tackles for the fourth time this season in Week 13, putting himself back on pace for his second straight year with 100-plus tackles. The Commanders have a bye in Week 14 before they travel to take on the Rams in Week 15.
