Elflein and the Cardinals agreed on a contract Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Elflein will join the Cardinals ahead of their training camp and he will likely operate as the team's backup center behind Hjalte Froholdt in 2023. The 29-year-old suffered a season-ending hip injury in October as a member of the Panthers, but he now appears to be fully healthy heading into this season.

The Panthers released Elflein (hip) with a failed physical designation Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Signed to a three-year deal ahead of the 2021 season, Elflein battled injuries in Carolina, missing 19 of 34 games for the Panthers. He required hip surgery back in October, and another team may want to make sure he's healthy before bringing him aboard. Elflein's release clears over $4.2 million in cap space.

A hip issue that cropped up after Week 6 held Elflein out of Sunday's win versus Tampa Bay, and it will now keep the 28-year-old center sidelined for the rest of the campaign. Bradley Bozeman should serve as a more than capable replacement for the rest of the year.

Elflein (hip) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Elflein was considered unlikely to play Sunday against the Buccaneers due to the injury. However, it appears the injury was severe enough that not only will he not play Sunday, but he'll miss at least the next four weeks. Bradley Bozeman should handle the center position until Elflein can return to action.
