  • Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Suspension upheld Wednesday

Jackson's four-game suspension was upheld on appeal Wednesday.

It's the second four-game stint this season that Jackson will have to spend on the bench for repeated violations of the league's unnecessary roughness rules. Until he's eligible to play again, 2022 fifth-rounder Delarrin Turner-Yell will likely step back into a starting role at safety next to Justin Simmons.

  • Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Suspended again

The NFL announced Monday that Jackson has been suspended for four games for violating player safety rules, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson has now been suspended for the second time this season, after he was previously dealt a four-game ban in late October for multiple violations of unnecessary roughness rules. The ban was reduced to two games following an appeal, but he's likely to serve all four games of his latest suspension after he was deemed to have lowered his helmet during a hit on Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs less than two minutes Sunday's 21-20 win over Minnesota. Jackson, who wasn't penalized on the play in question and ended up taking the field for all 74 of Denver's defensive snaps in Week 11, still plans on appealing his latest suspension, according to Legwold.

  • Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Suspension reduced

Jackson had his four-game suspension reduced to two games following a successful appeal Tuesday, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.

The NFL handed Jackson the four-game ban Monday for multiple violations of the league's unnecessary roughness rules, as the safety had already been ejected from two games this season due to illegal hits. As a result of the suspension reduction, Jackson will miss games in Weeks and 8 and 10 before he's eligible to return to action Week 11 game versus the Vikings. P.J. Locke replaced the ejected Jackson in Sunday's win over the Packers and will likely enter the starting lineup beginning with the Broncos' Week 8 contest versus the Chiefs.

  • Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Hit with four-game suspension

The NFL suspended Jackson four games for multiple violations of unnecessary roughness rules, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jackson has already been fined multiple times this season, and his latest hit to the head and neck area of Packers rookie TE Luke Musgrave on Sunday was the league's final straw and led to Jackson's month-long ban. Jackson is appealing the suspension, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, so it's possible he gets a game knocked off. For the moment, Jackson isn't eligible to play again until Week 13 against the Texans. P.J. Locke is expected to fill in as the starting safety next to Justin Simmons for Denver.
