Lopez finished with 18 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 37 minutes during Thursday's 128-119 loss to the Pacers. Lopez led all players in Thursday's In-Season Tournament semifinal contest in blocks while finishing with a handful of rebounds and as one of four Bucks with a double-digit point total. Lopez has reached double figures in scoring in 12 of his last outings, adding five or more rebounds in nine of those games. He has recorded at least four blocks on eight occasions, including in three of his last five contests.... See More ... See Less

Bucks' Brook Lopez: Six defensive stats in victory
Lopez logged nine points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 146-122 victory over the Knicks. Lopez was quiet on the offensive end but brought it defensively, delivering six combined steals and blocks. It's been another strong start to the season for the veteran, as he continues to defy the odds on a nightly basis. He is currently second in the league in blocks, averaging 2.8 per game, to go with 13.2 points, 0.9 steals and 1.8 three-pointers.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: All-around showing in victory
Lopez provided 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, four blocks and three steals across 31 minutes during Sunday's 108-102 victory over the Trail Blazers. Lopez did a little bit of everything for Milwaukee in a winning effort, finishing as one of five players with 10 or more points while recording a team-high block total. Lopez has tallied at least 10 points, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals twice this season, and he has posted 10 or more points with five or more rebounds in four straight contests.... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Ties career high with 39 points
Lopez finished Friday's 131-128 victory over the Wizards with 39 points (14-17 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 32 minutes. Lopez had a hot hand throughout the close contest, missing just three of his 17 shot attempts and draining all seven of his free-throw tries. The veteran center's 39 points tied the career-best mark that he originally established while playing for the Nets way back in 2011. Lopez didn't score more than 16 points in any of his first 14 games this season, but he's exploded for 67 total points during his past two contests, making an absurd 26 of 35 field-goal tries (74.3 percent) over that span.... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Game-high 28 points in loss
Lopez recorded 28 points (12-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-116 loss to the Celtics. Lopez dominated the paint against the Celtics, finishing with a game- and season-high 28 points. It was the veteran's first outing of the campaign with at least 20 points, and he's blocked one or more shots in 12 of his last 13 matchups. During that stretch, Lopez has averaged 11.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 blocks and 1.1 assists in 29.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Six rejections in Charlotte
Lopez chipped in 15 points (7-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and six blocks over 33 minutes during Friday's 130-99 win over the Hornets. The 15 points were a season high for the veteran center, but the six blocks weren't even Lopez's best performance of the week on the defensive end as he piled up seven rejections against the Raptors on Wednesday. Through 12 games, Lopez's scoring is way down (10.1 points a game on 44.2 percent field-goal shooting) as he adjusts to playing with Damian Lillard, but he's compensated with an increased focus on rim protection that has him averaging a career-high 2.9 blocks per night.... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Dominates defensively in win
Lopez contributed 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, seven blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 victory over the Raptors. Lopez played well on both ends of the court in a winning effort, leading all Bucks players in rebounds and blocks while finishing as one of six players with a double-digit point total. Lopez has recorded seven or more blocks in two games this season, recording at least three blocks in five contests. Lopez has also posted at least 10 points and five rebounds in five outings this year.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Fails to make mark in loss
Lopez recorded four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), seven rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Monday's 129-125 victory over Brooklyn. Lopez tied his season high with seven rebounds, but the rest of his production was muted. It was doubly disappointing given he blocked eight shots and drilled four three-pointers during Friday's narrow win over the Knicks, suggesting he'd broken out of an early-season slump. The addition of Damian Lillard has impacted every player on the Bucks, but Lopez should have brighter nights ahead, especially when his new-look squad starts to find a rhythm.... See More ... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Swats eight shots Friday
Lopez recorded 13 points (4-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt), eight blocks, five rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes in Friday's 110-105 win over the Knicks. Though Lopez had gotten off to a slow start to the 2023-24 campaign and is now shooting just 40 percent from the field after Friday's game, fantasy managers can't complain too much after he posted huge numbers in the blocks and three-pointers categories. He had swatted just two shots through the Bucks' first four games, but after turning away eight shots Friday, he's now averaging 2.0 per game on the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Back in lineup
Lopez is in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against the Grizzlies. Lopez was rested during Tuesday's exhibition, but he has a clean bill of health. The Bucks appear to be using their projected Opening Night lineup for Friday's preseason finale.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Ruled out Tuesday
Lopez (rest) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Thunder, Justin Garcia of the Milwaukee Bucks Radio Network reports. This is just a maintenance day for the veteran center. It remains to be seen if Lopez will make an appearance in Milwaukee's final preseason game Friday against the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Staying in Milwaukee
Lopez and the Bucks agreed Saturday on a two-year, $48 million contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Lopez was one of the hottest free agents on the market with several rumored suitors. However, he opted to return to Milwaukee in the end. After back surgery in the 2021-22 season, Lopez returned to form in 2022-23. The 35-year-old big man averaged 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals, 2.5 blocks and 1.7 triples across 30.4 minutes in 78 games (all starts). His block average was a career high, and he ended up second in Defensive Player of the Year voting behind Jaren Jackson. Lopez is an important piece for the Bucks moving forward.... See More ... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Records double-double
Lopez logged 18 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 44 minutes during Wednesday's 128-126 overtime loss to the Heat in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Lopez was forced to embrace a bigger role on offense -- while being his usual dominating self on defense -- due to the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 2 and Game 3, and the big man responded by stepping his game up. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough, and the Bucks suffered a shocking first-round exit despite ending the regular season with the best record in the league. Lopez averaged 19.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game during the series.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Falls flat in Game 3 loss
Lopez contributed six points (3-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 121-99 loss to the Heat in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Lopez struggled offensively Saturday after scoring 25 points in Milwaukee's Game 2 win. However, the veteran center still made an impact defensively and finished with at least one tally in each defensive category for a third straight contest. Over the first three games of the opening-round series, Lopez has averaged 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in 33.3 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Dominates paint
Lopez logged 25 points (12-17 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 138-122 win over the Heat in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Lopez led the way for the Bucks Wednesday night in the blowout win with teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) sidelined. The veteran center missed only five shots, which led to a team-high 25 points, with 14 coming in the first quarter. The Heat had no answer for Lopez, as 24 of his points were scored in the painted area.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: No limitations ahead of playoffs
Lopez (rest) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Lopez missed back-to-back games to end the regular season due to rest purposes, but as expected, he's full go ahead of the playoffs. Across 78 appearances, the Defensive Player of the Year candidate averaged 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and a career-best 2.5 blocks in 30.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Another rest day on tap Sunday
Lopez (rest) will not play in Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Raptors. Lopez will skip the final two games of the Bucks' regular season to rest up for the team's impending playoff run. He joins a gaggle of Bucks who will get the night off, leaving numerous reserve players to pick up some additional run Sunday. Lopez finishes the regular season averaging 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 3.0 blocks-plus steals over 30.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Resting with 1-seed locked up
Lopez (rest) will not play Friday against Memphis. The big man will get a well-deserved night off after helping the Bucks lock up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference on Wednesday night against Chicago. The Bucks will also hold out Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Khris Middleton (knee) and Jrue Holiday (rest) on Friday, and that could again be the case for Sunday's regular-season finale at Toronto.... Bucks' Brook Lopez: Game wrecker in win
Lopez closed with 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one assist, five blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 140-128 victory over the Wizards. Lopez dominated in his typical efficient fashion while locking down the paint. Lopez entered the contest in a 6 of 27 slump from three but broke out in a big way Tuesday and looked confident in doing so.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Double-double against Detroit
Lopez racked up 24 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 35 minutes during Monday's 126-117 win over Detroit. The veteran center collected his 11th double-double of the season, with four of them coming in his last nine games. Lopez has also recorded at least one block in 12 straight contests, averaging 3.3 rejections a game over that stretch.... See More ... See Less

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA8H agoBucks used zone to come back in both Pacer games this year but that’s the only changeup they have atm, especially with Jae/Pat out. They’re so small/limited at point of attack that pretty much all they can do is hope Brook walls off rim, which means they also can’t play small.

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA2D agoBucks starting five struggled early in the season but they've been an absolute buzzsaw of late. Have hung a 134 ORTG in last 10 games and up to +14.5 net on the season. Opponents shooting 39% from 3 so it's not a fluke either.

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA2D agoBucks might have a ways to go defensively but it's been fun watching Giannis become a defensive playmaker again -- he's now at 6 straight games with 3+ stocks and has done it in 11 of 20 games. Last year he did it 13 times all season and only once in back-to-back games.

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA5D agoHawks have frustrated Bucks so many times last couple years that any win is a good win against Atlanta. Giannis was great especially as PNR finisher/passer. Some really good defensive possessions late and the half court offense was fantastic (1.20 pts/play).
