Bucks' Damian Lillard: Posts 31/7/10 line in victory
Lillard totaled 31 points (11-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds and 10 assists over 37 minutes during Friday's 131-128 win over the Wizards. Brook Lopez surprisingly paced Milwaukee with 39 points in the contest, but Lillard wasn't far behind with 31. It was the fifth time this season the superstar point guard has hit the 30-point mark and the sixth straight game during which he's posted at least 22 points. After a somewhat quiet start as a distributor to this tenure in Milwaukee, Lillard has also been racking up assists of late -- he averaged a modest 4.8 assists over his first eight games of the season but has increased that mark to 8.7 dimes per contest over his past six appearances.... Bucks' Damian Lillard: Strong finish not enough
Lillard provided 27 points (11-24 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 119-116 loss to the Celtics. After a slow start, Lillard picked things up in the second half, scoring 20 of his 27 points in the final two quarters. His efforts got Milwaukee back in the game, but the Bucks couldn't pull off the comeback win. Bucks' Damian Lillard: Leading scorer in rout
Lillard produced a team-high 27 points (9-18 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT) along with five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 130-99 win over Charlotte. The former Trail Blazer led a balanced Bucks attack that saw all five starters, and seven players in total, score in double digits on the night. Lillard has had a bumpy start to his Milwaukee tenure, but he appears to be heating up, scoring 64 points over the last two games while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor in both and going 9-for-20 (45.0 percent) from three-point range across both contests.... Bucks' Damian Lillard: Produces first double-double
Lillard finished with 37 points (9-18 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 15-16 FT), 13 assists, four rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 win over the Raptors. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) sidelined for the first time this season, Lillard stepped up to deliver one of his best all-around performances of the campaign. The point guard led all players in Wednesday's game in scoring and assists, claiming his first double-double of the season in the process. Even after hitting half of his field-goal attempts Wednesday, Lillard is still converting at just a 38.6 percent rate for the season, and his averages in nearly every category are down across the board compared to his final season in Portland. Lillard has remained one of the most impactful players in fantasy basketball in the free-throw percentage category, however; he's gotten to the line a career-best 10.1 times per game while hitting 93.4 percent of those attempts.... Bucks' Damian Lillard: Struggles in return Monday
Lillard (calf) recorded 12 points (3-17 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five assists and three rebounds across 32 minutes during Monday's 118-109 win over the Bulls. Lillard returned to the court after missing the past two games due to a calf concern. While he was able to play 32 minutes, his production was far from his norm, and his 3-for-17 showing was actively harmful for managers. It's been a slow start to Lillard's time in Milwaukee, but the superstar guard will likely rectify that sooner rather than later. Fantasy managers shouldn't panic given the amount of time left in the season.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Will suit up Monday
Lillard (calf) will play Monday against Chicago, Jamal Collier of ESPN.com reports. Lillard's minutes will be monitored, according to coach Adrian Griffin. Monday's return marks the end of a two-game absence for Lillard, but it coincides with news of Jae Crowder being slated to miss the next two months due to an abdominal tear.... See More ... Bucks' Damian Lillard: Probable Monday
Lillard (calf) is probable for Monday's game against the Bulls. Lillard has missed the last two games due to a calf injury but will likely be able to return to action for Monday's matchup. Over his first seven appearances with his new team, he's averaged 24.3 points, 4.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Officially out
Lillard (calf) will not play Saturday against Orlando, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Lillard will miss his second consecutive game. Milwaukee fell to Indiana in his absence on Thursday. The Bucks are fully healthy outside of Lillard being inactive.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Questionable Saturday
Lillard (calf) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Magic. Lillard missed Thursday's game against the Pacers due to a sore right calf, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Saturday. If he's sidelined once again, Cameron Payne and Pat Connaughton should continue to see increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Will not play Thursday
Lillard (calf) will not play in Thursday's game at the Pacers, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Thursday marks Lillard's first absence of the season, so how coach Adrian Griffin responds remains to be seen. More minutes should certainly be available for Cameron Payne, and Lindell Wigginton may get the first action of his career. Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo also figure to handle the ball more.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Questionable against Indiana
Lillard is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Pacers due to right calf soreness. Lillard has yet to miss a game this season but could sit out the second leg of Milwaukee's back-to-back Thursday. If the star point guard is ruled out, Cameron Payne would likely see increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Dominates on both ends in win
Lillard accumulated 34 points (10-25 FG, 2-12 3Pt, 12-13 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 120-118 victory over the Pistons. Bucks' Damian Lillard: Not on injury report
Lillard (personal) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against the Knicks. Lillard was excused from Thursday's practice session while tending to a personal matter, but coach Adrian Griffin said he expected the point guard to be available Friday. Lillard wasn't included on the Bucks' initial injury report, so he should be available after averaging 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 33.0 minutes per game over his first four appearances of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Doesn't practice Thursday
Lillard didn't practice Thursday due to a personal matter but is expected to be back for Friday's game against the Knicks, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Coach Adrian Griffin specified that Lillard's absence from practice was excused, and it doesn't seem likely that he'll be forced to miss any game action. After tallying just six points during Sunday's loss to Atlanta, Lillard has bounced back by averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 33.0 minutes per game over his last two appearances.... Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA8H agoBucks used zone to come back in both Pacer games this year but that’s the only changeup they have atm, especially with Jae/Pat out. They’re so small/limited at point of attack that pretty much all they can do is hope Brook walls off rim, which means they also can’t play small.

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA2D agoBucks starting five struggled early in the season but they've been an absolute buzzsaw of late. Have hung a 134 ORTG in last 10 games and up to +14.5 net on the season. Opponents shooting 39% from 3 so it's not a fluke either.

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA2D agoBucks might have a ways to go defensively but it's been fun watching Giannis become a defensive playmaker again -- he's now at 6 straight games with 3+ stocks and has done it in 11 of 20 games. Last year he did it 13 times all season and only once in back-to-back games.
